I thought this story would never end, and last for ever, just like a fairy tale… There were evidences i could not see, or at least I convinced myself that everything was fine and ignored that there was a decision to take. Until the day I got to the point of no return…

Few weeks ago, I took the opporunity of beeing all 5 together at a party to tell to clément, coco, pierre and troipe about me leaving the band. A reason choice, that I still today accept with difficulties but I will, it’s necessary… The reasons are numerous, the distance that seperates me from the others has always been a big problem for rehearsal, and we are five people with different work schedule, it became a big brain teaser. From my point of view, i think those contrains had ruined my motivation, my envy to play, the rehearsals implied a big effort with time, and seriously reduced the motivation I had to play my instrument… Last but not least, my girlfriend and I are moving in Canada this year to start a new life.

I will never forget this adventure, 5 years of sharing, frendship, emotion and passion. I never thought i would be able to experience a story like this, a strong story… I will never be able to thank bökanövsky enough for all what they gave to me… I would like to give you details, tell you the best moments, and the worst, thank the people that hosted us, helped us, smiled to us… But there is so much to tell and i won’t be able to spread myself here. I would like to thank a last time my friends from bökanövsky, clément, coco, pierre and troipe because in five years we weren’t playing in bökanövsky we were bökanövsky, and beyond the big friendship that unites us, it’s our implication, our passion and our devotion that i would like to thank. I would like to thank a last time all the people that hosted us in France, Europe, Mexico and the United States of America. Thanks to all the labels, people that helped us to share our music and thanks to all these bands that i met and that left me indelibible souvenirs: 12XU, Aussitôt mort, Daïtro, Drowning with our anchors, Chachi Arcola, Comadre, Cotidie Mori, Hyacinth, KidCrash, Khere, Lakmé, Magdalene, Maladie, Melete, Mikey randall, Rogue state, Spires, Sugartown cabaret, Tesa, Tetsuo, The plague mass, The third memory.

The bökanövsky adventure should continue without me at the return of clément (off for some months in spring). We will do a small snack/gig in our rehearsal room on sunday 7th march. I hope we will see you there.

We’ve been pretty silent since august, we’re sorry for that. Some news to come soon, we have some “news”, but we need some more time to get things straight. If bökanövsky has been silent, we where all realy busy with side projects, studies, work, and daily life stuff. Be sure we’ll come back stronger than ever!

After more than a year and a half, the split is out now !!! We have been trought every shit: booklet problems, covers problems, records problems, money problems and coordination problems… But the split is out know I guess this is the most cool thing !

2 new songs for bökanövsky, and 1 new for Lakmé !

The covers has been silkscreaned at the 103 in Grenoble, by Mélo, Sylvain and Clément aka “the trainee”. There are several colors for the covers: black, black red, pink etc…
The covers and booklet has been designed by the talented friend: Hugues: Puzzle records/12xu/ex. flying worker (this is to look cool).

About the booklet: he his pretty heavy and big, the split theme was psychiatry, and mental illness. Several text from people from the band and the labels involved. And 2 interviews (not a band interview) an interview of people, concerning the split theme. (1 made by lakmé, 1 made by bökanövsky)
All the french text where translated in english by Cédric (And it was a fucking amazing and big work !!!)

We’re back from tour. There’s a lot to say, maybe we’ll write a report and you’ll find interest in it, maybe… We just feel like we did something incredible, as far as we’re concerned… To fly above ocean and continents with your best friends, to play everyday on another continent. That seems to be insane or amazing, we just can’t decide!

Our deepest thoughts go to Maladie for making it real, that is such a big “work”, a question of trust and everything we cannot describe, and it was so impressive to watch them playing!

We’re now back home, going back to our everyday life. And it’s harder than expected. We have plans and ideas, but we’ll check this out a bit later!

Making a list would be neverending, just be sure we’re all thinking of you. To everyone we met just thank you for everything including kindness, hospitality, food, shows, kisses, hugs, drinks, laughs, jokes (even the bad ones), games (caaaaps), stories, sightseeing, freeways and rest areas!

This is stucked in our minds forever!

We were 4, we are now 5 !!! Pretty exiting news. Nicolas joined the band, and will be handling the second guitar. Nicolas recorded us since the beginning, he his more than a simple guy for us. It’s in a natural and sincere decision that we and he decided to join the band.
We are very happy about it. Nicolas should be playing guitar on our shows in the region, and we are all hoping that he will be able to come on tour with us in the states. That would be SIQ !
